Before and after result from the Big O pose!
Here are before and after photos of the Face Yoga Method exercises using a thermo-graphic camera. The Thermal imaging made it possible to see the amount of radiation sent out by the Face Yoga students. After 3 sets of a 10 second Big O pose on Face Yoga, we could see the increases in temperature on their faces! The photo on the right shows how the warm parts of the face stand out in contrast against the cooler parts of the face for the photo on the left.
Does Face Yoga work
In a study published in 2018 in JAMA Dermatology, researchers at Northwestern University found that 20 weeks of facial exercises yielded firmer skin and fuller cheeks — resulting in a small group of middle-aged women appearing younger, on average, by three years. "The exercises enlarge and strengthen the facial muscles, so the face becomes firmer, more toned, and shaped like a younger face," said Murad Alam, vice chair and professor of dermatology at Northwestern University.
What is yet to be linked to face exercises is boosted self-confidence that comes along with self-improvement and feeling better about your skin and your face.
Professor Alam said facial exercises, could become a "low cost, non-toxic" alternative (or additional) treatment to minimally invasive cosmetic surgery.
May improve facial expression and mental health. In a study of 53 people aged 65 years to 87 years, participants did facial yoga exercises for 30 minutes twice a week for 12 weeks.
